Hypnotising chickens and PowerPoint

After posting a blog yesterday about avoiding death by PowerPoint someone kindly sent me this link to an article that appeared in the New York Times earlier this year called ‘We have Met the Enemy and he is PowerPoint’ – well worth a read. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/27/world/27powerpoint.html
At the end of the article the author says ‘… sessions often last 25 minutes, with 5 minutes left at the end for questions from anyone still awake. Those types of PowerPoint presentations, Dr. Hammes said, are known as “hypnotizing chickens.”
I’ve already written about the similarities between sitting through a PowerPoint Presentation and a hypnosis session http://ezinearticles.com/?Paralysis-by-Presentation&id=3855816 so I was delighted to hear that I’m not the only one to notice the similarities. The only difference is chickens are much easier to hypnotise.
Please think before you use PowerPoint – is it the best way for people to find out what they need to know?
And if you’re not sure what else to do then ask us – we’d love you to have a whole host of ideas.
